Founded in 2010, brings together 50 member organisations, of which approximately 70% are companies (predominantly SMEs) alongside public administration bodies, leading R&D centres, universities, and non-governmental organisations. This unique multi-stakeholder structure allows ZINNAE to act as a bridge between the innovation ecosystem and public policy, channelling expertise and solutions towards water security challenges.

ZINNAE’s core mission is to develop and bring to market innovative solutions to water security challenges, in line with the principles of the circular economy and smart society. Our work spans three strategic pillars: (1) water management infrastructure; (2) digital technologies applied to water governance; and (3) improvement of governance and management of water resources.

Building on the cluster’s DNA and sectoral expertise, we seek to act as a catalyst for cross-border and interdisciplinary collaboration, connecting the water sector with water-intensive industries and bringing together the broad ecosystem of stakeholders committed to smarter, more resilient water use.
