One of the challenges identified in the GreenStep regional analysis is the limited collaboration between academia and industry. From our experience as a Cluster, we see three main barriers:

  • Limited awareness of the expertise and innovation potential that universities can offer.

  • Concerns about administrative procedures and long project timelines.

  • The day-to-day priorities of companies, especially SMEs, which often leave little time for innovation activities.

Does this reflect the reality in your region? What other barriers—or successful practices—have you identified to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry?
